Auburn Youth Football - Tackle and Flag

(7th graders are not eligible)

Program Description
Flag Football is run through APRD while Tackle is run through the Auburn Youth Tackle Football Association.  Youth football encourages healthy kids, families and communities by placing a priority on family involvement, positive self– image and a sense of fair play. Coaches help children develop the skills fundamental not only to play the sport, but also to be successful in the community such as cooperation, commitment, dedication and sportsmanship. Volunteer coaches, often parents of players, help run each team. Coaches conduct practices and notify parents when players need to arrive for practices and games.  APRD & AYTFA promises no tryouts, no getting cut and no bench warmers! Every child plays at least half of every game while making friends and learning new techniques. We want to help cultivate our youth into becoming outstanding people just as much as helping them become outstanding players.

During the season teams practice once a week and play one game a week.  Leagues are divided by ages.
