At the Auburn Public Library, there are all kinds of ways to get involved! If you’re interested in giving back to our community, considering serving as a volunteer. Our corps of friendly volunteers help with day-to-day tasks like shelving books and setting up for programs, and also with special events like our Fairy Tale Ball and our Summer Reading Program kickoff. For more information our volunteer program, including our application process and procedures, please contact Amber Gill, Reference Librarian, or visit our volunteer page.
In addition to our Volunteers, the Friends of the Auburn Public Library raise funds to support the library and to extend the positive impact of our services, resources, and programs. The Friends host two used book sales each year, one in the spring and one in the fall. Working together, the Library and the Friends are able to offer our community valuable programs that promote literacy and lifelong learning, including One Book, One Village and the Summer Reading Program. For more information about the Friends, please email [email protected] or visit our Friends of the Library page.
A great community deserves a great library, and with the support of our volunteers and the Friends of the Auburn Public Library, we’re able to help Auburn a great place for everyone to live, work, learn, and play.
