The detectives assigned to the Narcotics Unit investigate felonious crimes involving the use, manufacture, selling, and distribution of drugs. Regularly working with other local, state, and federal agencies, the unit focuses on local problems in our community, while assisting with larger investigations into the trafficking of narcotics from outside Auburn into our city. Assistant Chief Anderson is assisted by Capt. Scott Mingus, who oversees the daily operations of the two narcotics detectives and two detective sergeants.
