Widening of South College Street to add dual southbound through lanes, northbound and southbound right turn deceleration lanes, and a pedestrian crossing and sidewalk along the west side of South College Street from Samford Avenue to the Auburn University Arboretum. Also as part of the project, we will widen Samford Avenue to accommodate three full lanes from Gay Street to South College Street, upgrade the storm sewer system along Samford Avenue and Gay Street and upgrade the existing traffic signals at the intersection. This project will reduce congestion and improve safety. We anticipate work beginning Winter of 2016.
