The Codes Enforcement Division, under the direction of the Building Official, is responsible for the enforcement of all adopted building, fire and related codes.  They are also responsible for the enforcement of many of the adopted ordinances in the Code of Auburn.  The Codes Division inspects all new and remodeled buildings constructed in the city limits of Auburn as well as related components such as plumbing, electrical and heating and air.  They also conduct follow up fire inspections on existing businesses.
